Jakie called tonight and guess what he sang to me??? A Child's Prayer, with a pretty good semblance of the tune. Could be with a little help from his Dad, but again, music soothes my soul.
I am so glad that you love that song too. It has always been my "safe song". When I am sad, scared or just need to change my thoughts, that is the song that I have hummed since about 10 years old. I know just what you mean about soothing the soul. It has never failed me. I will have Jakie sing it to you each night before bed while we are there to visit. Cant wait to see you!! Carolyn-this is Jessica Van Buren collings. I have contemplated for days on what to say and how to say it. This is not as personal as giving you a hug, but I wanted to let you know how much I love you and your family, and that we are praying for you. Ever since our little ( I mean little because it does not compare to your current challenge) bout with my dad's cancer, my heart aches for anyone who has to experience similar and worse situations. We love you and will continue to pray for you.
